I love NYC all the time, but it becomes a full-blown love affair as soon as the weather starts inching towards the warmth of summer. People slowly start coming out of hibernation, stepping out of their little apartments, and taking over random sidewalks to have random all-afternoon hang-outs a la high school sophomore/junior/senior year. A bunch of friends met for brunch, mimosas, coffees, almond croissants, and teas outside of The Smile today and ended up loitering for a good few hours of idle gossip, laughs, and general good times. I heart my friends. xo
